Jason Fox, widely known as ‘Foxy’, is a distinguished television presenter, adventurer, and former UK Special Forces soldier. He began his military career at 16 by joining the Royal Marines Commandos in 1992, and in 2001, advanced to the Special Boat Service, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After two decades of service, Fox was medically discharged in 2012 due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Fox has since become a prominent figure in discussing mental health issues, leveraging his experiences to advocate for mental wellness. He co-founded Rock to Recovery with fellow ex-Royal Marine Jamie Sanderson to support returning servicemen, veterans, and their families. He’s best known as the longest-serving directing staff on Channel 4’s “SAS: Who Dares Wins” and as the presenter of “Meet the Drug Lords: Inside the Real Narcos.”
His adventures beyond the military include rowing across the Atlantic Ocean with Team Essence in 2016, setting a record as the first team to row unsupported from mainland Europe to South America. In 2018, he was part of a team that trekked to the North Pole to raise funds and awareness for the charity Borne, aimed at preventing premature births. More recently, in 2019, Fox and Sean Johnson kayaked over 1,980 miles along the Yukon River to raise funds for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
As a Sunday Times Bestselling author, Fox released “Battle Scars” in 2019, detailing his battles with PTSD, followed by “Life Under Fire” in 2020, offering insights into building resilience and thriving under pressure. His contributions to literature and his public speaking engagements make him a respected voice in resilience, mental health, and leadership.
