Joe Caulfield is one of Ireland’s brightest emerging broadcasting talents, specialising in the areas of news and sport, across TV and radio with Virgin Media Television and Bauer Media. Joe is also an accomplished and experienced sports analysist, providing expert knowledge and insight for TV, radio and online media outlets.

Having established a successful career in sales and recruitment with companies including Indeed.com, AXA Insurance and Morgan McKinley, Joe decided to back himself in pursuing a new career path in 2020, following his passion for broadcasting. Despite the obstacles of breaking into the industry during a time of global pandemic, Joe landed his first role as a broadcast journalist at Midlands 103 in June 2021. Within months, Joe had broken into television with the Virgin Media sports news team; anchoring the evening sports news, live reporting on breaking stories and
interviewing some of sport’s leading figures in the process. Eager to remain at the forefront of news as well as sport, and determined to push himself outside his comfort zone constantly, Joe combines his role with Virgin Media as a broadcast journalist with Bauer Media; delivering the news on Newstalk and Today FM as well as reporting on all the major news stories of the day.

Ambition, determination and a passion for communication have seen Joe rise to a position of great esteem with two of the country’s leading broadcasters, in an incredibly short period of time. His story is one he hopes will inspire others to chase their dreams – believing with passion, perseverance and the right direction, anyone can achieve success and fulfilment in whatever they chose to do.
