Dr Martyn Newman is a leading expert in emotional intelligence (EQ) and mindfulness, helping leaders and teams enhance performance and resilience. A clinical psychologist, he is the author of Emotional Capitalists and The Mindfulness Book and co-created the Emotional Capital Report™ and Emotional Intelligence Sports Inventory, pioneering tools for measuring EQ in leadership and elite sport.
He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, an MA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Masters of Psychology from Monash University, and a Doctor of Psychology from La Trobe University. He has held senior academic positions at the University of East London and ACU National and is currently a Visiting Fellow at Sheffield Business School and an Instructor in Mindfulness at Sydney University’s MBA programme.
