Kirsty Gallacher is one of the UK’s most respected and versatile sports broadcasters. She has enjoyed a long and successful career at Sky Sports News and currently anchors their popular afternoon slot as well as fronting Sky Sports’ coverage of major sporting events, including the Ryder Cup, the Olympics and the Masters, which she is currently covering in Augusta, Georgia. Kirsty also reprised her role as co-presenter of the hugely popular Soccer Aid alongside Dermot O’Leary last summer – the charity football match which pits celebrities against legendary footballers on ITV1.
Kirsty is a sports enthusiast herself with a huge passion for health and fitness. October 2014 saw Kirsty launch her own sports clothing range with Very.co.uk, Activewear by Kirsty Gallacher. The collection is colourful, versatile and functional. Her extensive knowledge on health and well-being also saw her become the face of Wellwoman Supplements in 2014. Kirsty is a monthly columnist for Your Fitness magazine, each month sharing her tips and advice with readers on a whole range of subjects from how to keep motivated when training, to eating the right foods.
Kirsty is equally adept at fronting entertainment formats, having featured alongside Ant and Dec on a number of series of Saturday Night Takeaway for primetime ITV1. She also co-presented Sky One’s Gladiators alongside Ian Wright, The Games on Channel 4, following her triumph as a contestant in the previous series, and The All Star Cup for ITV1/ITV2 live from Celtic Manor in Wales. In addition, Kirsty has presented live feeds for Sport Relief.
Other presenting credits include hosting Lorraine for ITV1 on weekday mornings, BBC1’s holiday series Departure Lounge, reporting for Richard and Judy in their book club series, cohosting Simply The Best for ITV, co-hosting The Laureus World Sports Awards in Lisbon for Five and hosting her own series for Sky One including Kirsty’s Home Videos and TV Meltdown.
Kirsty has worked commercially for many respectable brands throughout her career including Benefit, P20, Nestle and 2015 has already seen Kirsty team up with Persil and Comic Relief, encouraging families across the UK to make their faces funny for money, by getting gunged with 20 litres of bright blue liquid!
